Dr Margie Cohen

Dr. Margie Cohen started her veterinary career in private practice in Newcastle in 2015. She pursued her dream of working with shelter animals by joining the RSPCA in 2016.

While working at RSPCA, she gained extensive experience working with a wide range of behaviour disorders in animals. It was working with shelter animals, where she experienced the positive changes that can be made with behavioural therapy. This sparked her interest in behavioural medicine and her continual passion to improve her patients' quality of life.

Dr. Margie has pursued further postgraduate education on behavioural medicine via the Centre for Veterinary Education at the University of Sydney.

She has a particular interest in fear and anxiety disorders in dogs and cats and is committed to helping her patients overcome individual challenges. Dr. Margie also has a keen interest in cooperative care training.
